Aire, in Barcelona, opened its doors 9 years ago, and they did it in one of the commercial premises in our portfolio, in front of ‘La Ciutadella’ park. Based on the Greek and Roman bath’s tradition, these thermal baths are inspired on the classic world and they recreate a peaceful atmosphere in which anyone can relax.
The building where Aire is, used to be, centuries ago, the place where the wells of the city were. Later, it turned into an old warehouse for the ‘Mercado del Born’, until it was completely restored and adapted for its new use in 2008.
The interior still has the old brick vaults, but what makes this place so special is its capacity to take you to the past in an instant – you will feel as if you were in a Roman or Greek temple. The several spaces, lighted with warm and faint lights to maintain the peaceful atmosphere, guarantee an intimate and spiritual experience.
