Martínez has three different areas: a terrace that is covered in case of rain – where you can have their amazing menu or their cocktails –, the area they call ‘gallinero’ ─ don’t be fooled by the name, it is not less glamorous than the rest─, and the most exclusive area, the balconies, where the tables are for a maximum of 6 people ─ and where strollers cannot access.
On the menu you will find meats, fish, seafood and rice, and mouth-watering starters, all of them cooked with local products so the quality and a sustainable production is guaranteed.
The best way to get to this ‘chiringuito’ is flying – don’t panic just yet, the Montjuic cable car will get you to the door. How about going up to this restaurant from the cable car stop at the Barceloneta beach after a walk around the Gothic quarter, can you come up with a better plan?
