With Christmas just around the corner, and getting closer to the most familiar and emotional dates of the year, we are noticing that special atmosphere everywhere: streets, shops, houses, shopping centres… Because there are traditions that not even a world pandemic can change. In these times when social distance rules and Christmas comes marked by a health crisis, we must not leave the protagonist of these dates, Christmas, in second place, and we must enjoy the best time of the year. However, we must always appeal to prudence and collective responsibility to emerge from this situation stronger and more aware than ever. For us, this year has meant uncertainty, but also evolution and progress. We have closed operations, we have implemented new technologies for commercial visits, we have moved our headquarters, we have improved our website, and much more, always prospering and moving forward to change. The changing environment in which we live requires permanent adaptation within the real estate market. At ATIPIKA we are constantly on the lookout for the latest updates in the industry to anticipate the near future, as knowledge of the property market is what makes our clients expect the best from our work, and this year has seen us implement our model of success with solidity, valuing our staff, so that our growth model has been sustained and upwards despite the COVID-19 health crisis.
In short, in 2020 the upward trend in our operations in Barcelona has continued, and we have managed to double the turnover of our office in Castelldefels. With hundreds of operations closed this year, ATIPIKA has now more than 50,000 users who have subscribed to the newsletter and 360,000 unique visits to our website www.atipika.com this year. In addition, we have improved the design and performance of our website, adding the “Success stories” and “Reviews” sections, which help to give visibility to our customers’ experiences and give us the feedback we need to establish the long-term relationships we are looking for.
In the other hand, at ATIPIKA we have witnessed the power of technologies in the real estate world, and as always, we have strongly supported IT development in our world. Thus, during the pandemic and in full confinement, ATIPIKA remained active, following all health recommendations, and abiding by all established protocols. This was possible thanks to Matterport and Floorfy technologies, which allowed our customers to view and book properties from their homes. The virtual tour offers many possibilities, both for the property and the buyer, and we are sure that this technology will play a key role in the purchase and rental of properties from now on.
Since the beginning of the year, the leadership presented its intention to move the headquarters to another location. The move was delayed by a few months, until March, when the pandemic started. ATIPIKA’s headquarters are now located on Passeig de Gràcia, but a few streets down, next to Barcelona’s Gran Vía, the longest street in Spain. Our current office, at Passeig de Gràcia nº 20, has more than 220sq m, two meeting rooms, an office area, four offices and two large main rooms, for the sales department, on the one hand, and the management and rental department, on the other. It has been completely refurbished and it offers our corporation the space and comfort it needs for its day-to-day work, as well as for maintaining safety distances.
The coming year, 2021, comes with many doubts for most companies and people, but the light at the end of the tunnel is beginning to show. The vaccine against Coronavirus has boosted expectations of the state’s economic recovery, considerably improving the forecasts. However, in this endless stream of expectations and doubts, the only certainty is that the recovery process will be slow, we must be patient and keep our commitment. Our experience has shown us that the real estate industry is a refuge value par excellence, and a safe investment, so we are convinced that we will stay the same as we have been for the last 20 years, overcoming all kinds of obstacles.
