Sala BARTS (Barcelona Arts on Stage) opened its doors in 2013, right in the centre of the cultural area in Barcelona: ‘Paral·lel’. It is a multidisciplinary space managed by The Project. If you haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy a show on this location, what are you waiting for?
It is located in what was the first theatre in ‘Paral·lel’, and it is divided in two different spaces: The main room, with capacity for 900 people seating, or 1.500 if standing and siting seats are available, and the ‘sala club’, much more intimate, with capacity for 130 spectators. The creators of these spaces define sala BARTS as “a strategic location, a new cultural centre concept that is attached to its surroundings”.
Sala BARTS is open to music, hosting several festival and music cycles, theatre (plays, musicals or kids plays), comedy, dance, contemporary circus, illusionism and magic. You can also attend talks, classes, dialogues and meetings with creators and thinkers that work in fields such as science, research, humanities or gastronomy.
