Tapas. Spanish Design For Food

Would you like to discover the connection between gastronomy and design? ‘Museo del Diseño de Barcelona’ has organized Tapas. Spanish Design For Food, an exhibition which wants to show the link between design and Spanish food and gastronomy over the last 25 years.

The exhibition, co-organized with ‘Museo y Acción Cultural Española’ (ACE), has on display more than 200 objects, videos and photographs that show how design, tradition, gastronomy, science, avant-garde, art and innovation have helped us to solve food-related issues. After visiting cities such as Tokio and Washington, and after revealing some of the secrets of the Catalan and Spanish cuisine to the world, the exhibition comes to its last stop in ‘Museo del Diseño’, located near Les Glòries square.

It is an invitation to discover how design has helped to solve some of the problems in the gastronomic world. Furthermore, through the dishes of prestigious chefs such as Ferran Adrià or Luki Huber, you will get to see up close some of their ground-breaking techniques and get to know their visions on different matters.

The exhibition has four different atmospheres: kitchen, tables, food and wines, so no-one feels left out. They offer some practical activities as well where they invite the visitors to engage in workshops, talks and performances related with the sector.
