Urban yoga

Practicing yoga in Barcelona can be a very different and unique experience. Let us explain to you how to forget about routine and stress, have you ever heard about urban yoga?

Xuan-Lan, yoga instructor, was born and raised in Paris but has Vietnamese ancestry and lived in New York for several years. She arrived 15 years ago to Barcelona to stay and develop her passion for yoga. She usually practices ashtanga yoga and follows other styles as well – flow, vinyasa and jivamukti. Thanks to all these types of yoga, she put together a very personal and unique new type of yoga: yogalan. As she explains, this method was created because of her experience with vinyasa yoga which explores the benefits of an active and urban yoga.

She is known for being the creator of free yoga as well, a movement that wants to bring yoga to people – large groups of people at a time – in different cities of the country. Her yoga is dynamic and for people who live in the city and feel the need to forget about routine and stress – it helps them to connect with themselves. She gives private lessons in Zentro Yoga and Aire de Barcelona. We particularly recommend visiting Aire de Barcelona, where you will be able to enjoy several areas with pools at different temperatures, all in candlelight so you can release tension.

Xuan-Lan wants to make yoga popular as it changed her life positively. Therefore, she is devoted to guide those who are interested through a “long and beautiful walk” that will make them happier.
