In the north are the nuclei that currently make up the valley, such as Sant Genís dels Agudells, Montbau, la Vall d'Hebron, la Teixonera, la Clota, el Carmel, la Font d'en Fargues and the old town of Horta, which includes the neighborhood of Font del Gos. In the lower part of the district are the neighborhoods of Guinardó, el Baix Guinardó and two important green areas (the Parque de las Aguas and the jardines Príncep de Girona) and Can Baró.
On the outskirts of the Horta neighborhood, numerous farmhouses still survive today as a testimony of its rural past. As well as narrow streets that run through its oldest part. A very prominent heritage element of this neighborhood is the Parc del Laberint, which houses the oldest garden of all those preserved in Barcelona. It is precisely here where the narrowest street in the city is also located: calle Creuet, where barely one person can pass through.
