From early November -2016- until mid-February -2017- the best of soul, folk and flamenco will be reunited in Barcelona for the 18th Edition of the ‘Mil·leni’ Festival.
Carlos Nuñez, Els Gossos, The Divine Comedy, Ocean Colour Scene, Tony Hadley, Lianne La Havas o Michael Kiwanuka… Are just some of the names that will join the event.
The events of the festival will be happening at the best Barcelona venues, such as The Liceu Theatre, the ‘Palau de la Música Catalana’ or ‘L’Auditori’. The festival programme offers lots of music genres, big names and national and international music.
One of the strongest performances of the festival will come from Lianne La Havas. After releasing several albums and reaching the top UK music charts, this 21-year-old soul singer from London has successfully consolidated herself in the industry. Fellow artists such as Alt-J or Prince have declared to be fans of her music -Prince even invited her to collaborate in his album Art Official Age-
Michael Kiwanuka, will let us enjoy some soul-folk style music. However, in Kiwanuka’s new album Hate&Love, the artist is playing with a more experimental and contemporary sound. Mil·leni festival will also count with the presence of the former Spandau Ballet member, Tony Hadley. In his solo performance at Palau de la Música, Hadley will present a special selection of tracks. The choice goes from Spandau Ballet classic tunes to Frank Sinatra and Tony Benett influenced sounds.
